    « Wapikoni Mobile, "the film rolling," born in 2004 in Quebec with the objective to train young Indian film techniques to empower them to express themselves visually. For five years, 850 young people were trained, six Indian nations were involved in the project that gave birth to more than two hundred and fifty short films.

    Youth Prize for Pupils and students of the school Guist'hau in the presence of Kevin Papatie, director Wapikoni (Algonquin, Canada) and in the presence of a representative of the City of Nantes.

From Pen to Screen Film Festival organizes Alter-Native which offers each year to the public French films (documentary and fiction, long and short) made and / or produced by Indians .

Draft Film Festival Alter'Natif allow the public to better share the ways in which Native Americans view the world and understand the messages they send us.

Many festivals programmed dramas and documentaries addressing indigenous issues. However, No festival is devoted exclusively to films made by and for indigenous peoples.
But these films exist and is important in the early twenty-first century, offering them a platform.
